wear school uniforms and they are always just a solid color. They buy fabric from the market (whatever color the school is) and
make the uniforms..but some kids can't afford them, so it would be really helpful if we could
purchase fabric here for those children so they could go to school.
Any sort of solar anything - flashlights etc. would also be really useful in the village.
As far as waste disposal there is just a spot out in the forest where they dump the
garbage...I think they might burn it, Im not sure...but there
really isn't much garbage. Maybe yam and potato peelings plus the
cans that some of the sauces come in. There is very little garbage
besides all the wrappers that Raegan and I have from the protein bars we brought!
In this village, Biakpa, there are probably 30 children that hang
around the building where stay.
The orphange has about 10 kids that actually live there but
during the day there are around 30 children that just come to play.
The kids love watching videos on my laptop...they don't really care
about watching music videos/movies but they love watching videos
of our house, our rooms at home and that sort of thing. So maybe do a video tour of the house and have Ben and Michaela show them
their bedrooms, the street we live on etc. They would love that!
